Stewart Alsop is a venture partner
of New
Enterprise Associates (NEA), focused on applications
software for enterprise and consumer markets.
Stewart invests in early stage companies developing
technologies and services for broadband networks
and rich media.
Prior to NEA, Stewart was Editor
in Chief of InfoWorld, a weekly newspaper for
information-technology professionals. He also
published PC Letter, a fortnightly newsletter
for computer industry insiders, and produced the
Agenda and Demo conferences for executives of
companies in the computer industry. Before 1985,
he served in several executive editorial positions
at business and trade magazines, including Inc.
Stewart graduated from Occidental College in Los
Angeles. |

EDWARD
M. CLUSS, JR.
President and Chief Executive Officer |
Ed Cluss, president and chief
executive officer of NextHop Technologies, is
responsible for all funding, planning, policy,
operational and strategic decisions for the company.
Most recently, Mr. Cluss served as an executive-in-residence
at New Enterprise Associates, a venture capital
firm in Silicon Valley, collaborating on investment
opportunities and assisting portfolio companies.
Previously, he was a vice president at Cisco Systems
Inc., where he structured strategic relationships
with wireless LAN (802.11) partners. Prior to
that, Mr. Cluss was the president and CEO of InfoGear
Technology Corp., an Internet pioneer that developed
and delivered software to manage services on multiple
types of Internet appliances. Under Mr. Cluss'
leadership, InfoGear was acquired by Cisco Systems
just prior to a planned initial public offering.
Before that, he held several vice president positions
at Aspect Telecommunications. During his tenure,
Aspect's revenues grew from zero to more than
$200 million in annual sales, and market value
surpassed $1 billion.
Mr. Cluss holds a master of
business administration with high distinction
(Baker Scholar) from the Harvard University Graduate
School of Business, and bachelor and master of
science degrees in mechanical engineering with
Tau Beta Pi academic honors from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology. |

DICK
KRAMLICH
Co-Founder
and General Partner, New Enterprise Associates

Dick has more than 35 years
of venture capital experience. He has represented
New
Enterprise Associates (NEA) in many Information
Technology and Life Science investments, having
invested approximately $500Million over the years.
Realizations of over $3Billion should be supplemented
by current investments in 13 companies. He is
on the Board of Directors of 9 of these companies.
He has been fortunate to have served on the board
of 9 companies in the past which have gone from
start-up stage to over $1Billion in value. Some
notable examples include Juniper Networks, Ascend
Communications, Macromedia, Immunex (now Amgen)
and Semiconductor Manufacturing International
(SMIC).
Dick was the Chairman and President
of the National Venture Capital Association in
1992-93. He received the NVCA Lifetime Achievement
Award in 2001 and a similar award in 2005 from
the Haas School of Business, University of California
– Berkeley. Prior to co-founding NEA in
1978 Dick was a General Partner of Arthur Rock
& Associates. He received an MBA from Harvard
and an undergraduate degree in History from Northwestern
University. |

SUE
HARES
Founder and Chief Technology Officer |
Sue Hares is recognized as
one of the world's foremost experts in routing
technology. Prior to launching NextHop Technologies,
Ms. Hares spent 13 years at Merit Network Inc.
where she most recently directed the Merit GateD
Consortium.
Ms. Hares was also a senior
engineer at both Allen-Bradley Corp. and ADP Inc.
An active participant in the
design, specification, and implementation of routing
protocols, Ms. Hares co-chairs the Internet Engineering
Task Force's (IETF's) inter-domain routing group
which is standardizing border gateway protocol.
She is also a member of the NANOG (North American
Network Operators' Group) steering committee.
Ms. Hares earned a bachelor
of science degree in computer engineering from
the University of Michigan. |

JAMES
W. JOHNSON
Vice President, Computing and Information
Technology, Wayne State University |
James Johnson is responsible
for all computing and networking activities at
the university. Prior to joining Wayne State,
Mr. Johnson was vice provost for information technology
and chief information officer at Emory University
in Atlanta. At Emory, he built a fiber optic network,
established supercomputer and biological science
computer centers for research, and established
Emory as a first-rank university in student computing.
At the University of Houston, Mr. Johnson became
the first vice president for computing at a U.S.
university. He is a two-term chair of EDUCOM (now
EDUCAUSE), the premier organization for higher
education computing institutions and professionals,
and serves on the board of Merit Network, the
intellectual birthplace of NSFNET, GateD and NextHop. |

DANIEL
PHELPS
Partner,
Duchossois Technology Partners |
Dan Phelps joined Duchossois
Technology Partners (DTEC) in 1999 and focuses
on networking investments in both the enterprise
and carrier markets. He currently serves on the
boards of several DTEC portfolio companies, including
Infoblox, Mobilitec, NetNearU, Nexthop Technologies,
Personeta and Rubicon Genomics. He is also responsible
for DTEC’s investment in Intellon. Previously,
he served on the board of Clarity Technologies,
acquired by Cambridge Silicon Radio (LSE:CSR.L).
Before joining DTEC, Dan was with the Pritzker
Financial Office in Chicago, where his responsibilities
focused on principal investments in a variety
of industries. Previously, he was a member of
the financial services group at Ernst & Young.
He graduated with Honors from The Ohio State University
with a BSBA and received his MBA from the University
of Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant. |
