NextHop Technologies Closes Series D Funding
Raises Additional $4 Million in
Capital
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California – July 17,
2007 — NextHop
Technologies® Inc., the leader in enterprise
mobility and networking solutions, today announced
that it has closed a Series D funding for $4.0 million.
These funds will be used to accelerate product development
and further its innovation in enterprise mobility
and networking. New Enterprise Associates, Duchossois
Technology Partners, Labrador Ventures, and Parker
Price Venture Capital provided the latest investment,
bringing total company funding to $45.8 million.
"Corporate Wi-Fi initiatives are expanding as
companies realize increases in worker productivity
gained from wireless deployments," said Dan Phelps,
general partner at Duchossois Technology Partners. "NextHop
enables wireless solutions that integrate seamlessly
into the existing network infrastructure, rather than
burdening IT staff with an overlay network, to achieve
the efficiencies of a mobile workforce with a more
cost effective solution."
NextHop offers a family of Wi-Fi-based wireless solutions
for the mobile enterprise. These solutions extend mobility
into the carpeted and non-carpeted environment. Businesses
may now use NextHop’s mobility solutions for
asset tracking in healthcare, asset management in manufacturing
and data access for the mobile workforce.
NextHop's
Enterprise CompleteMobility™ solution,
announced earlier this year, enables virtually unlimited
scalability, seamless roaming across the corporate
networks, automatic rollover upon failure and coordinated
security. The net result is a robust enterprise scale,
high-availability wireless environment required today
by all demanding enterprises.
"This additional support from our investors provides
us with the financial position to accelerate our thought
leadership in enterprise mobility," said Ed Cluss,
president and CEO of NextHop Technologies.
